Her converses bumped the floor as she walked in. Torn jeans graced the floor. A cute, tight tee shirt was stretched over her torso. She was tall, almost 5'9''. Her brown hair grazed the small of her back and was swirling in curls. Malory's horse, Capucine, was tied outside. She was looking for someone to meet, for she needed to find a place to board her horse. She was also looking for new friends...and possibly more? No, she decided. Friends for now...maybe. She looked around, then lowered her frame to a couch and picked up a water bottle. She sipped the water slowly, letting the cold taste run down her throat. She sighed in happiness. Malory looked around, awaiting someone to come.

The fiery platinum blond lowered the reins on Thoroughbred mare, Elsa. Her mare was a nice Show Jumper, and Hayden showed her in the off reason of racing. Although she was well known for being in the racing industry Hayden had several Jumping and Reining horses she trained and showed in her free time away from the track. The name Hayden Dawson had a bittersweet taste in anyone who had anything to do with horse racing. For one, they feared her and her horses. They kicked butt and they kicked it hard, Black Attic was a force to be reckoned one. For second, she was blunt and bossy with a tint of aggression for a personality. If anything, she was a tough girl who loved winning more than anything. She was riding to the Ranch Home from her stable a few miles away, and her mare needed a good work-out. She kicked it up a notch and sent her horse moving foreward at a gallop, slowing down as the lodge came into sight. Hayden leaped off her horse and tied her to the post, making sure their weren't any folds in the saddle. The slender girl opened the door and felt a cool rush of air hit her in the face, a nice contrast from the dry summer air outside. Perhaps, she'd see a fresh face here.

Malory spun around to see a girl, about her age, enter the building. She put down her water bottle and looked at the girl...why did she look so familiar? She recognized her as a rider. She wondered if she knew a good place for her to board Capi...Malory stood up, and walked casually over to the new girl. She didn't want to come on too strong, but she did want to meet new people, and find a place to board her young mare. She leaned on the table nearest the new girl and put her hands in her back pockets. She looked as nonchalant as can be. Hey, whats up? Mallory asked, her gray eyes surveying her surroundings. She didn't look straight at Hayden, so it wasn't positive she was talking to her, but there was no one else available, really. Three couples were snuggled on a couch making-out, and there were two girls gossiping at a nearby table. It was obvious to someone who wasn't a complete idiot. Finally, Mallory pointed her piercing eyes straight at Hayden, awaiting her response.
Capi saw the horse and rider approach, then snorted at the newcomer. She wasn't wearing a saddle, nor bridle, just a halter. She was only 3, so not yet old enough to ride on the roads to get here. The light gray mare whinnied loudly, tired of waiting for Mallory. They had been wandering around, and she had been sleeping in her trailer for the past two weeks. They had moved here from England, and unfortunatly, lost a great deal of their money on the trip. They couldn't afford to buy a place, and Mallory was desperatly looking for a place to keep Capi and a place to live on. Capi looked the new mare up and down, and then snorted and ate some hay that Mallory had left out for her.

Elsa snorted and pawed at the ground at the sight of another horse, the horse was much younger than she was. The filly was gray, and Elsa pricked her ears at the sight of such a unique horse tied to the post only a few feet away from her. Elsa was a nice and healthy nine years of age and so far, she had jumped a good five feet and has been working on even higher jumps. Like most of Hayden's horses, Elsa used to be a racehorse and won a very impressive amount of cash with Hayden on her back. They had several pictures of them in the winners circle, beaming with pride. Hayden re-trained her for jumping and that sort of became her new love, show jumping.
Hayden swept a handful of blond locks away from her face, her smooth hair was fixed straight, not a frizz of flyaway in sight. Hayden put on a smile as the girl greeted her, she was a pretty girl who seemed like a nice enough person. Hello, I'm Hayden.

Capucine snorted at the mare. She was certainly beautiful, and amazing to look at. She looked her over, but casually, so not to attract attention to the fact she was looking her over. Capucine. She stated her name to the other horse, and then resume eating. Capi had no horse-friends, hopefully she could make aquantances soon enough.
Mallory smiled and shook Hayden's hand, then said softly Mallory. She dropped the other girl's hand, then looked outside to see Capi and Hayden's horse getting along. She smiled, then took a deep breath and asked, So where do you keep your horse? See, I really need a place to keep Capi because she's living in a trailer, because after the move from here to England I lost all my money and don't have enough to buy property. no need to tell her your life story, spaz. Mallory scolded herself. Her english accent was much more noticeable when she was nervous.

The bay Thoroughbred chewed on the bit for a moment, feeling the metal against her tongue. Elsa, nice to meet you. She said in a sweet sounding accent, which seemed to be a mixture of British and perhaps Austrian. Hayden had bought her from a European racing stable that had been famed for it's versatile Thoroughbreds.
She grinned, she had always wanted to visit England of these days and this girl used to live there! Yea, I actually own Black Attic Incorporated which is less than a mile from here. She said, eyeing one of the couples on the couch in pure disgust. I train and ride racing Thoroughbreds and as a side project Show Jumpers. You could board there, I mean if you want. Not to brag, but it's one of the best stables in the country if I say so myself. She beamed, it confused her why she was being so friendly today.

Capi looked at the tack she was wearing...She then looked at her own bare self. Why was she not wearing those contraptions...She saw the mare chomping on the bit. She had been ridden before, but it looked different. She looked questioningly, then resumed grazing. she liked this mare. The gray mare nudged some of the hay towards Elsie, a friendship offering.
Mallory was fascinated. She could learn SO much... That would be...amazing! I hate to ask another favor of you, but do you know anywhere nearby where I could stay? A centre where I could work? I do need a job. Mallory mused the last sentence mostly to herself. Mallory was usually never this outgoing but she liked this girl, and she was offering her amazing oppurtunities.

Elsa noticed the filly's strange look as she examined her tack, of course by nine years of age Elsa was used to being ridden and was well behaved around humans and never protested or reared, or even buck. Capucine, how old are you? I'm nine, I used to race but now I only jump since I'm too old for the track. She said softly, accepting the hay from the filly.
Hayden sauntered over to the frige and grabbed a water, she had to stay away from most soda pop drinks since she had to keep her weight at a steady 115 so she could still be a jockey. Too bad she had two months of her suspension left, she had punched a jockey in the jaw at a race. Hayden had a long history of that sort of thing, she just can't help it sometimes. She directed her attention to the couples on the couch and wadded up a blank piece of paper and threw it in their direction. Hey, get a room! You're distracting me! They gave her a puzzled look. Hayden looked back at Malory, clearly apolozing for her random outburst. I've got a guesthouse there you are more than welcome to use until you can eartn up enough money to get your own place and such. She paued to make sure her horse wasn't being a bully, or anything. I'll give you free room and board in exchange for you doing some work around the stable, you know excersing some of the racing colts and fillies and basic care. I'll also pay you the normal paycheck, sound like a deal?

The filly brought up her head from eating. She flickered her ears lazily, then answered sweetly, Almost four. Mallory rode me a fair amount in England, but we've only been here three weeks. She's ridden me a few times. I've never jumped though...it looks like so much fun. Is it hard?
Mallory surpressed a laugh as Hayden yelled at the couple. She watched the couple grumble, then leave, opening up a seat on the couch. she already knew she was going to like Hayden. That would be amazing. don't worry, you won't regret it. I'm a really hard worker. But instead of paying me in money, do you think you could give me lessons? I have always wanted to learn more about jumping, and I'm getting ready to start Capucine over fences. She grabbed a water, then sat down on the couch and scooted over to make room for Hayden. She already liked her.

Elsa tried her best to chew on the hay with the bit, but she eventually just gave up and looked up to see where her owner was, and what she happened to be doing. Not really. The hardest part was going from the track to jumping. When I was three I was racing all over the place but Hayden retired me early due to a sprain on my right hind leg and ever since I've jumped. It's very fun, but takes skill and you have to keep your head in the game.
The platinum blonde smirked as the couple made angry faces at her and walked off into the room with arcade games and pool tables. She kicked up her feet and rested them on the coffee table, taking a good long drink of the water. I'm in need of some extra riders and well, stablehands in genereal so this will be great. Sure, I wouldn't mind teaching you and your horse the ropes.

Capi listened attentively, then noded in understanding. She watched her struggled with the hay and snorted. That must stink. She took a big bite of the hay, but felt bad because Elsie couldn't eat it, so she stopped and looked around. She missed England, because everything was so much different here in America. She also thought everyone had a strong american accent. She thought it sounded flat and boring to her voice, but of course didn't say anything. Elsa'a accent was different, but she couldn't quite place it...
Mallory nodded, then smiled, her bright teeth sparkling, matching her eyes. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much you are helping me. When would you like me to bring Capi over? Mallory asked. she looked around, admiring the American art. She then turned her head to see Capi snorting at Elsa and sharing her hay. What a sweetie.

Elsa was curious, the filly spoke with a unique accent. So, where did you move here from?
She drank her last few drops of water until she was completely done, with that she crushed up the bottle and threw it into the trash bin. Whenever you'd like, really. I'm working on a filly since I'm racing her next week but after that I'll have a few weeks where I won't have any thing to do so I'll give you your lessons then.

Capucine snorted with a laugh. England! You couldn't tell from my accent? Where did you live before? Or always America? The almost white mare shook herself, sending flies scattering and finding a new place to land.
What about today? I could drive her over later today, and then get accustomed. Mallory took a leap. She knew she seamed overbearing, but Capi HAD lived in a trailor for almost two weeks straight, and her legs were going to stiff up if she didn't get a proper home soon. Mallory stood up, and threw her empty water bottle into the recycling. She stood by the door, and awaited Hayden's response, with excitement playing over her features.
