The Humane Soceity goes shopping!

Nine friends came in laughing. They were all grinning and holding bags.

Sam snorted at the girly shops. They were each allowed to pick one shop to go too. Of course, Sam chose Booth Feeds. They looked around for a while. Sam wanted to get her own halter. She found a rope halter that could be adjusted to any size and went to the front desk to buy it.

Lara was queit through this whole time. She was closest to Khleo, so she stood near him and they exchanged smiles and jokes breifly. When it was her turn to choose a store, she chose the Natural Horseman ship store. She looked around for remedies. She ended up finding a few herbal remedies for nervousness. After buying them, Sam came up to her and smiled breifly.

Brian, the oldest here, went to the Animal Care shop. He bought some new medicine and a hrose toy. He also bought Sarah a little stuffed horse. He smiled at his daughter and kissed her head. He was best friends with JJ Red.ick here. He went to him and the two gave each other a high five.

Sarah chose to go to the toy store. They all entered the doors. She pulled out her twenty dollars and she grabbed a rather large stuffed horse. Now Chesnut can have a foal SHe gestured to the little horse her father had givin her and the large horse she herself had bought.


Kacey was easy going and agreed to go everywhere. When it was her turn, she just bought a hammer, some nails, a file, and an anvil. She picked up Sarah and hugged her. Kacey was almost a cousin to Sarah. They were great friends. Sarah was holding her horses lovingly.

Khleo stayed by Kacey, the girl he secretly had a crush on for a while. She gently brushed his arm with hers and shot him a small, flirtatious smile. He raised his eyebrows and she laughed. Khleo chose the Saddlery. He grabbed a lead rope. His had broken. He gently brushed past Kacey and smiled soflty.

JJ shot a look at Lara. He really liked her. Her gentle, soft ways with people and horses. Lara caught him staring, and he looked away with a blush. Not surprisingly, he went to Sports Authority. He bought himself a new basketball and then led us to Staples. He bought some new notebooks and graphic organizers. He did have to do his job. He slipped Lara a little note.

Lara blushed when she read it and looked at JJ. She smiled and averted her eyes. He walked toward her and tentativly put his arm around her.

Kacey wiggled her eyebrows at Lara. The three friends grinned. Sarah hugged Kacey as she looked around.

Brian yawned slightly.

Kris went to the Saddlery to buy a new saddle. Hers was slightly tattered and gross.

Kate went with Kris and bought herself a new saddle pad.

A small bleat came from an area near by. A large sign hung at the top of the area's small, yet sturdy, entrance. It said, 'Deer Rehabilitation/Rescue.'
A flyer nearby had explained the orginazation had taken orphaned fawns from the wild, whom mother doe's had been shot during Open Season, and brought them in to be bottle fed if nessicary.
Some people came, but not many came with the paper for signing up for taking a fawn for a while and help raising it. Some that couldn't go back to the wild simply stayed at Zoo's or attractions but never were sent to be slaughtered.
There were a couple fawns, but several had tags on them that they were taken. All except one, a small little fawn stayed in the corner from the others. Clearly it was afraid, and it bleated over and over, expecting a call from its mother.
