Sitting in the darkest corner of the ranch home a girl read a book. She was crouching there; knees tucked against her chest. Her long ebony hair fell over her shoulders and blinding her in the sides so she could only see in front of her. Although there were no worries because she there were only walls on either sides of her so she only had to look forward to see if any one was coming to her.
Her dark sapphire eyes followed the words on the pages in front of her quicker than most. She was apparently a quick reader. She looked totally sucked into her book. Books were the only things that took her to another world, away from reality. The girl put her bookmark in the book and closed it. She hugged it against her chest and let out a deep sigh. A grin was spread across her face. She was reading something good, that made her heart race.
Oh how I wish this was real... All the characters and everything... She whispered. She had to get away from the ranch, she had to get away from everything. She had needed to retreat to a dark corner, take out a good book and read it while she sort of sulked.
The girl placed the book on the floor beside her and let her thoughts about everything flood her head. About how much she wanted her own horse, about how much she wanted to vanish into one of her books. She wanted a boy from one of her books to come alive. But they were just fiction. They would never be real and she would never find her dream boy. They were just legends. I believe in unicorns, dragons, good boys and all those fairy tale creatures... She whispered.
The girl was tall and young, maybe sixteen. Her skin was quite pale. Paler than most. She had sharp features. Her cheek bones were high giving her a regal look. She let another sigh escape her and then she slouched against the wall, closed her eyes and let herself disappear into one of her stories.
She wished some one would come, she felt so bored.
