Mars didn't know what to do...she would never leave her king. She lay her ears back and slinked away. She then trotted around the perimeter until she was far away. She then turned around so she was near the bush where she heard the sound. She galloped toward the sound she had heard and reached her nose out. She smelled it, but didn't see anything.
Mars was a fighter, and would never bow before someone. She reared up, still silent, and came down with a small-thud-. She smelled something foul, but couldn't decipher what it was! The blood red mare turned around in place. She heard a rustle into the dark woods and trotted toward it. The sounds where making her crazy and angry. She wouldn't whinny because then Ambi would think she was hurt.
She spun around when she saw two large orange eyes staring at her. The large wolf slunk toward her. She tried to run, but a large branch was blocking the way. Fear filled the air. The ruby mare struck out at the wolf, but the large dog just dodged the kick. He growled loudly, the sound echoing throughout the forest.
She squealed and wheeled around. The dog sunk his teeth into her back piston, blood flowing from the open cut. He didn't let go until Mars kicked him in the head. He fell to the ground, but soon regained his feet. By that time, the mare had already galloped a bits away.
The wolf's madness had made him faster. And more bloodthirsty. She wheeled around and reared up. The wolf jumped for her belly, but she came down with her forelegs. The dog whimpered as the hooves crushed against his body. He whinnied unhappily.
She felt sharp teeth grab her leg again, but she shook out of the grip. She would not be killed. Mars slammed her pistons down into the wolf's body. The breath left the wolf and it's orange eyes got clouded...he had left the world.
She breathed a sigh of relief. Her breath wavered int he air before disappearing. She turned around, but then heard a peculiar sound. A very loud rumbling sound. Mars spun around. Her eyes lined with white. Right before her, 4 large gray wolves were growling nd foaming at the mouth.
Mars knew fighting wouldn't win this time...but she had to try. The first two wolves galloped toward her and leaped at her. She fought them viciously, only to be attacked by two more. Four wolves clung to her neck. She shook her head, thrashing out madly with her legs, blood flying everywhere. Some of the wolves foam flecked her boa. One wolf fell. His front leg snapped.
Mars reared up angrily, crushing the wolf's head. He made no move, so Mars assumed he was dead. She didn't have time to check, for one of the wolf's climbed to her back. IT sunk it's pointy claws into her back, but Mars was to quick for him. She bucked repetitively, throwing the wolf toward the others. He smashed his head into the tree and stopped breathing.
The last two wolves were bitting at her legs as she danced to and fro. Mars couldn't take it anymore. She spun around and kicked out as hard as she could. Her blood covered legs made contact with one of the wolves and he fell to his side. The other wolf whinnied and ran off into the woods.
Mars looked at the four wolves she killed...she felt slightly proud of herself. Her wounds were great and deep. Her left front leg was nearly torn off, while her right front leg was bitten and scarred. Her neck was ripped open in parts, and her back had claw marks all over it...she was dutifully hurt and deserved to rest. She lay down...correction collasped...on the leafy ground and closed her eyes.
