THOSE KILLING EYES,
Hayden shrugged in the saddle. It was the perfect day to ride her Thoroughbred gelding she named Romeo. He was a retired racehorse, instead of putting him to stud she worked with him more and he became one of her most beloved trail mounts and jumpers. She hated this time of the year, winter always had her in the worst mood. However she could look forward to riding her own horses this racing season. Her suspension had expired! There was no need to go about and hire a jockey, for she could do it all herself. Dressed in a simple pair of riding breeches, boots, and a heavy coat she had her hair wrapped up in a bun. She kept Romeo at a slow trot, she didn't feel like going much slower or faster. She was lucky, she lived only a mile from the ranch home. It was a majority of their small town gathered on the weekdays and usually on Friday nights they played movies here. Saturday was "Horror Night" and Hayden never failed to show up to catch the latest horror flick they were playing here. Last week, it was Nightmare on Elm Street.WON'T STOP BURNIN,
She leaned forward, closer to Romeo's neck and tapped him with the riding crop. He still had some racehorse left in him, and like clockwork he burt into a steady gallop. She lifted herself up, and gripped the reins in jockey position. It felt so good, she hadn't done this in three months and it was killing her. The roof pf the ranch home made it's way into her view, and Romeo slowed back down to a hyper trot, tossing his head and his tail as he was also happy to have been able to run some of his energy out.BUT BABY THEY'RE SO COLD,
Sliding back down into the saddle, she sighed. Tossing herself out of the saddle, she tied Romeo's reins to the post and sauntered back into the ranch home. Hayden knew very well, she was the celebrity these people feared. Hayden Dawson had made her name here, it was time to eat the fruits of her labor. Hayden sat down in the largest, most comfortable chair and kicked her feet up on the table.
