Hayden gave a frustrated sigh, it took a lot of self control to not throw the stop-watch at his head. You never answered my question, have you ever raced on the track before? Blackbird pawed at the ground, anxious to take off at a full gallop. Hayden knew Jake would have to hold her back until the final stretch or else she'd use up all her energy, and not have enough to pull off a win.

"I guess your going to have to find out, love."He said toward her after a few seconds he put Blackbird in a steady gallop not to fast not to slow just right.

Hayden let his comment go, watching him carefully. He had good posture, his feet were steadily placed in the stirrups and he kept Blackbird at a steady, collected gallop. Her main concern was that he'd burn her out too quickly. She kept her icy hued eyes glued to the stopwatch, looking up from time to time to evaluate his performance.

He then slowed her down more and then at the last streach he gave it almost everything she got.A bit faster on every stride.

Hayden glanced up, shocked at what she saw. So maybe this dude wasn't a complete waste of her money and time, but he still had a lot more to prove. One minute, twelve seconds. Guess you aren't completely useless

He mocked her and then rolled his eyes and then dismounted Blackbird and then patted her.

Hayden narrowed her eyes slightly, searching him over once more. I'm giving you a B. You had good posture, but be careful on those turns, loosen up on the reins. Blackbird here knows just what to do. She didn't wait for a response, she motioned for one of the handlers to give her one of the filles, a pale black three year old by the name of Karma Ryder.

He sighed."So do you have a boyfriend?"He asked.

Hayden adjusted the stirrups, making sure her feet were positioned correctly. She motioned for her stable hand to lead her into the starting gate. She shot Jake a 'Watch how the PROS do it' sort of look. When the gate flew upon, Karma Ryder shot out like a bullet from a gun, and she wasn't going to stop. Holding her back, Hayden lifted up from the saddle and kept Karma Ryder at a swift face. At the first turn she loosened up the reins, preparing for the home stretch. Karma Ryder had some of the best race horses in her lines, and Hayden was eager to enter her in a few races. Hayden took the whip and softly touched the young filly, who knew just what to do. She pushed forward with a burst of speed, crossing over the finish line with pride. Trotting Karma Ryder over to where Jake was standing, she threw off her helmet and said, That's how I want you to race, like a proffesional. I've got racing in my blood, I breath this stuff, so you've got to work for it. And for your information, I don't, but don't be getting hopeful.

Her face showed little emotion. Sure, she'd had boyfriends in her past but they couldn't ever keep up with her. She loved the track way more than she would ever love any one person. You're hired, but I'm going to train you some more. Understand? Mount Blackbird. She waited for him to do so, and then continued. Hayden grabbed her helmet from his hands and slid her feet through the iron stirrups. Put your feet in the stirrups and grab the reins. Let's pretend we're at a real race. One thing you want to avoid is being too close to the rail, and being boxed in. Once that happens you're doomed to lose, and that won't make me very happy. So, make sure you stay with the pack but at the final stretch make sure you let Blackbird speed up and manage a good win. Hayden took a breath and made sure he was paying attention. Got it? You're sitting on top of Thoroughbred perfection, now it's up to you to harnass that. HEY BOB, put them into the starting gate. A rather large, bald stablehand took Blackbird's reins and loaded them into the starting gate. She then lead Karma Ryder into the gate next to Jake. Show me what you've got.

She was suprised he didn't complain, at least she didn't have to hear it. Wow! You didn't complain, well this sure is a change! She said with a tint of sarcasm. Sarcasm was one of the free services she offered to be, other than yelling and bossing people around. The starting gates flew upon, and Karma Ryder lunged forward as if her life depended upon it. Her bloodlines included one of Hayden's prized racehorses, and one of her dad's famous broodmares. The had trained Karma Ryder herself, and was very proud of what she had made Karma Ryder into. She tightened her grip on the reins to hold Karma Ryder's pure power into her hands, showing just how good of a jockey she was. The platinum blonde kept her eyes glued to the finish line, she was about to give Jake a lesson on how things were done on her turf.

As soon the gates opened he felt the horse burst underneath him.He then started to go in a slow gallop.
