Hayden lowered the reins, easing the pressure from her legs allowing her horse to keep a nonchalant pace. She glanced over to make sure he had managed to mount, and turned back around. You go trail riding much? She asked him, popping another Icebreaker into her mouth.

She glanced over, a little tired of him already. Interesting. She reached down for the reins, turned to the right as they marched down a steep hill with a small stream cutting through the land. She squeezed her leg and loosend her grip on the reins, allowing Mondy to do the rest. The Quarter horse leaped over the water, not a hoof touching the crystal clear liquid.

They had traveled a good couople hundred yards from the main stables, and they were now traveling deeper into the woods. Her solid black gelding swished his tail, tossing his elegant midnight sky colored head. Hayden reached into her pocket, pulled out a black ponytail and carefully put her platinum blonde hair into a ponytail. She had taken Western reining lessons a few years ago, but most people only knew her for her racing skills. Hayden led them down an open trail, with led down to a small lake with trees dotting the shore. She squeezed her legs to get Mondy to advance to a trot, careful to dog any logs, trees, or fellow riders.

Stevie wasn't trained to rein. But all of a sudden he squeezed his legs. And then Stevie did a sliding stop to do with reining.Jake smiled and then patted him and then put him in a trot.

Hayden, keeping Mondy at a collected lope, suddendly pulled him to a stop as she saw her favorite black racing colt, Sudden Fame kicking up his heels in the pasture. Jake, you see that colt? She began, smiling as she admired her prized equine. You'll be riding him. He's got Smarty Jones in him. You'll be racing against one of my rival's, Brianna James's filly Brittanic. She's a swift little punk who tends to pull off a win at the last furlong. Anyways, Sudden Fame and you are just alike. Always showing off. Hayden grinned, considering the horse and the boy were very much, similar.

She gave Mondy a light squeeze with her calves, urging the horse to move forward. He's an interesting horse, a lot of the jockeys are going to be scheming a way to make you lose, so keep your focus. Got it? She turned around, giving him a piercing glare.

He mocked her and smiled toward her."Yes your highness!"He said toward her and then sighed deeply. And then petted the horse.

BLACK ATTICK INCORPORATED. Hayden suddenly jerked on the reins, bringing her mount to a sudden halt. She looked at Jake, her eyes stabbing into his. She whistled, and her black colt pricked his ears at his loving owner, perhaps one of the only creatures that really understood who she really was. The colt let a sharp whinny, and turned around as a stable hand brought at his daily food ration. Sudden Fame was on a strict racing diet, he had gone undefeated so far this season and she knew Jake was her last hope. She had ended up getting suspended for fighting with another jockey and breaking his jaw, it wasn't exactly Hayden's most flattering side but it was her dark side and secretly, it was her favorite side. She wouldn't be allowed to race until two months from now. Mock all you want, but I'm the one who signs your paycheck. She raised an eyebrow, keeping her cool under control. She suddenly dropped the reins and kicked Mondy into a sudden gallop, leaping down the hill and into the valley below. She planned on introducing Sudden Fame to his new jockey.
Sudden Fame chewed on his last bit of High Performance Sport Horse Feed, an exclusive performance feed that is rather pricey but at least it's the best and that's all Hayden Dawson is concerned with. Sudden Fame was a bay horse, but black points consumed most of his coat. He was a handsome three year old colt, who had run a surprising two races in the last month which is a hefty amount for any racehorse. He was scheduled to race in the Kentucky Derby, but due to Hayden's suspension and failure to find a suitable rider he had to be scratched at the last minute. Sudden Fame was a lively colt, who knew how to preform like a miracle on the race track. Hayden knew rival filly Britannic was breezing well, and could easily go from last place and finish with a four length, and even five length lead. It was going to take everything the colt, and Jake, had to beat this tough filly.

But then all of a sudden he notice something was wrong. His horse as whinnyed and reared highly. He then heard a growl and then saw a mountain lion over a tree looking at Hailey. He then put his horse into the fastest gallop. And then pushed his horse into hers making it turn.He then halted the horses. The mountain lion roared and then hissed at Jake. (Thanks) Jake

BLACK ATTIC INCORPORATED. Mindy threw up his pale black head, his eyes lined with white. His natural instincts were pressuring him to flee, but Hayden was pulling tight against the bit, preventing him from bolting. She knew if she did, the cougar would come dashing after them. Stevie kicked out with his back legs, snorting uneasily and chomping at the bit. The gelding let out a shrill whinny, the only equine who pricked his ears being the thoroughbred colt in the pasture to their right. Hayden remained calm, if she could survive being trampled by racehorses and having her arm broken twice she could glide right through this. Although, she had her doubts. In a somber whisper, Hayden murmured I've got a plan, keep him busy. She said, referring to the hissing and clawing big cat. Leaping off the small hill, Hayden silently crept down the rocks, keeping her ice blue eyes on the two horses. She knew that Sudden Fame would be in this pasture at this hour, although she did know he may be breezing on the track. To her relief, she spotted her handsome colt standing in a patch of grass, soaking up the sun. Hayden whistled to her horse. Fame lifted up his black head, hearing his owner's call. Come on boy, we're gonna need some help.
She climbed up on top of her 15.3 hh racehorse, without minding much to grab the bridle nor saddle. All she had was her close connection to him to guide them through this rather tough situation. She squeezed her calves and held onto Sudden Fame's thick, groomed mane. He urged forward, halting at the gate. Hayden reached down, unlocked the gate lock and kicked the gate open, since no other horses occupied the pasture she didn't mind to close it. They were traveling at a canter, getting closer to the main office. A stablehand was busy spraying the driveway with the water hose, ridding the cement of unwanted dirt and bugs. HEY! HEY! Hayden yelled and waved her arms to get noticed, she need help and she needed it now. Sudden Fame lunged forward until they were within a few feet of the stablehand. He was tall, blonde and blue eyed and Hayden guessed him to be around twenty years old. Good morning Hayden, what are you doing riding him around the stable? He asked, curious but cautious of Hayden's infamous temper. She sighed, he sure was lucky he was kind of cute. I've got a stablehand and two horses up on the Northern Trail. Grab a horse, and a gun because you'll need it. The stablehand stood puzzled, but did as he was told. He mounted a short, yet athletic looking Appaloosa cross. After he grabbed the reins and placed his feet into the stirrups he asked, Ma'am, may I ask why I'm coming? And a gun? He paused, not wanting to set off Hayden's severe temper. After all, she broke another jockey's jaw. A mountain lion. Puma. Cougar. Shut up, and stop being an idiot, and come on.
They were going at a gallop, Sudden Fame leading them all, of course. She had gathered help and hopefully, it wouldn't be needed. She knew Mondy and Stevie were brave horses that wouldn't hesitate to attack danger. She stopped Fame, and slipped off. Opening the gate, she smacked his rump and the colt went trotting into the gate. Hayden shut the gate, locked it, and silently crept back up the hill, with the blonde stablehand following.

BLACK ATTIC INCORPORATED. The horses bolted, head towards Sudden Fame's large pasture. Hayden knew the colt wouldn't mind the company but Stevie wasn't exactly too fond of the proud colt. Hayden flinched at the sight of blood, she was never exactly a fan of it. She looked over at the stable hand, making sure he had the gun loaded. If there was any time to use that thing, it was right now. Come on, hurry up! He's bleeding like crazy down there! Hayden hissed at the stable hand, who was fumbling around trying to the bullet loaded and ready. The stable hand held up the small pistol which was just big enough to deliver a punch. A painful punch. His hand on the trigger, he tried to find a good spot to shoot the creature. Pulling the trigger, the bullet found itself embedded in the cat's deep fur. Although not killing the cat, it left him wounded and losing plenty of blood. Hayden smirked, That'll teach him to press my buttons. That mountain lion wasn't coming anywhere close to their stable again. Hayden whistled at Mondy and Stevie, grabbing their reins with a firm hand. She mounted Mondy and pointed towards Jake. Go get him, and put him on Stevie. We'll have to take him to the doctor at the stable. Luckily, we've got one on duty today. The stable hand did as he was told, and lifted an injured Jake onto the gelding.
